Frankenstein—student work

Book Jacket. Mary Shelley's Frankenstein has had a variety of dark and foreboding cover designs over the two centuries since its first publication. This cover design stands out from others with its sterile, white background. The flowers erupting from the bisected head allude to themes of life from death and beauty from that which is often deemed ugly. A lone stalk of foxglove, a poisonous plant with medicinal properties, graces the back cover.
